ShelterTech Culminating Event

On July 14, 2021 we gathered participants from the first Shelter Tech Accelerator program in Southeast Asia with the participants from the Andean Region for a global conversation and celebration of the completion of the effort to source, select, train, mentor and award a cohort of 10 companies. We at Global Urban Village along with our partners at Villgro Philippines were grateful to have the opportunity to lead this accelerator project on behalf of Habitat for Humanity Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter. Contributions from Hilti Foundation, DOW, and Autodesk Foundation extended beyond supporting the program financially to include thoughtful, technical mentorship to the entrepreneurs that added value to their startup organizations. A huge additional thanks to mentors from the investor, startup, and business leadership communities in Southeast Asia and around the world for generously sharing your time and knowledge.

The overall contribution of the ShelterTech program to 10 cohort members is a powerful aspect of the broader ShelterTech global platform in support of a mission to make housing a top five impact investment sector. At this event, our cohort members shared their polished pitches with a large audience of investors, corporate partners, mentors, and leaders in the housing space. We look forward to ongoing success for their enterprises  in housing innovation and livability services.
